Our team has access to broad funder databases that can match your needs to available grant opportunities and can also provide valuable contact information that is not always publicly available. Support KC can provide you with a calendar of potential funding opportunities, including due dates and our estimate of the likelihood of your proposal being funded.

Support Kansas City offers training and coaching on how to develop grant writing procedures for your organization. This includes how to go about reaching out to funders, what to include in your initial contact, and how to maintain a long-term relationship. Support Kansas City does not contact organizations on our clients’ behalf, however. This is because funders prefer to hear directly from the nonprofits themselves. You will always be the most knowledgeable about your organization.

We understand the unique challenges that new organizations face and provide specialized assistance to help you begin the grant application process. Our team works closely with you to develop compelling proposals that effectively communicate your mission and goals, giving you a competitive edge in securing the necessary funds to launch and grow your initiatives.
We have a proprietary process to determine if your nonprofit is grant-ready. Our evaluation includes a thorough assessment of your organization's infrastructure, financial stability, programmatic success, and ability to manage grant funds effectively. We look at key factors such as your strategic plan, your public and digital presence, board governance, and previous funding history. This comprehensive evaluation helps identify strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring your nonprofit is well-prepared to apply for and manage grants successfully.
We do NOT routinely assist with federal grants or complex state and local government grants. While we do some limited work on local and state government agency funding opportunities, this work is supportive in nature and intended to review or supplement the agency’s own grant writing activity.
