Discovering your opportunities
A healthy grant writing plan begins with a knowledge of available funding. Our experts can do this research for you, saving time. SKC grant writers and consultants are well-versed in not only local foundation funders, but also national funders, corporate funders, and small family funds. SKC has access to broad funder databases that can match your needs to available grant opportunities and can also provide valuable contact information that is not always publicly available. SKC can provide you with a calendar of potential funding opportunities, including due dates and our estimate of the likelihood of your proposal being funded.

Fund Development Coaching
Support Kansas City offers training and coaching on how to develop grant writing procedures for your organization. This includes how to go about reaching out to funders, what to include in your initial contact, and how to maintain a long-term relationship. Support Kansas City does not contact organizations on our clients’ behalf however. This is because funders prefer to hear directly from the nonprofits themselves as they will always be the most knowledgeable about their organization.
