CommunityKC: Connecting projects, people, and resources

CommunityKC is an online community project mapping tool designed to help organizations:

  • Connect with each other
  • Identify potential partners
  • Become informed of local projects and initiatives
  • Avoid duplication of efforts
  • Network and share information
  • Promote the good things occurring in Kansas City

 

The mapping tool was launched at the 2015 Community Development Workshop. Read more about the launch in KC Digital Drive’s article –  Community Projects in KC: There’s A Map for That.

The community projects included in this map range in size from large projects like the redevelopment of a closed neighborhood school to small projects like a community garden or an art installation on a vacant lot. The projects are led by neighborhood organizations or are done in conjunction with a neighborhood organization.

The project highlighted in this map engage and empower residents to make a difference in their community.
