Call for Nominations – 2017 Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Awards

 

Support Kansas City is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2017 Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Awards.

It is part of our mission to promote best practices for nonprofits throughout our community. This award helps identify and honor those effective nonprofit organizations who demonstrate strong leadership on both a staff and board level. This award also serves as a way to educate the community about the importance of board service and the strengthened leadership that results from having board and staff that value and exemplify nonprofit best practices.

Previous Award Winners Include:

2011 – Phoenix Family Housing and Women’s Employment Network
2012 – SAFEHOME and Jackson County CASA
2013 – Alphapointe and Community Assistance Council

2015 – Community LINC and Girls on the Run of Greater Kansas City
2016 – Mattie Rhodes Center, HappyBottoms and Kansas City Rose Society

A panel discussion and reception will be held on Tuesday, April 25th to announce the winners and celebrate their leadership successes. More details will follow soon. Event sponsorships are available.

Big or small, if your nonprofit is a shining example of strong leadership and quality nonprofit practices, nominate them for the Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Awards.

The deadline for submitting a nomination is February 24, 2017. All nominees must be in the Kansas City Metro area.
