Support KC Appoints Three New Board Members

MISSION, KS, July 12, 2018 — Support Kansas City, Inc. (Support KC) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors.  Joining the board are Sean Brough, Senior Manager at Protiviti; Jeremy Davis, Economic Development Manager at Metropolitan Community College; and Tracy Hale, CEO of Youth Volunteer Corps.

“The Support KC board has always been fortunate to recruit board members who have a passion for building nonprofit capacity and a genuine commitment to support the staff in their work,” said Todd Burton, Board President.  “Clearly, 2018 is no exception and I am pleased to welcome these new members to our board.  They are skilled in governance and share the board and staff’s vision of a high-performing, sustainable nonprofit community.  The entire board represents a combination of talents and diversity that will position Support KC to meet the needs of nonprofits now and into the future.”

Sean Brough is an Irish Chartered Accountant with over 11 years of international experience in internal audit, risk management and reviewing specific regulatory compliance for organizations across various industries.  Sean is also part of the Centurions spring class of 2020.  Prior to joining Protiviti in 2011, Sean worked for a private healthcare insurer and a public accounting firm in Europe.

Jeremy Davis is an economic development professional with over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit arena.  He holds a M.S. from the University of Central Missouri and a B.A. from University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jeremy has served on many boards and workgroups including the Homeless Services Coalition, Paseo West Business Association, and University of Kansas Urban Planning Board of Advisors.

Tracy Hale is the CEO of Youth Volunteer Corps, a Kansas City-based nonprofit with nearly 40 affiliates across North America. Tracy brings over 18 years of strategic leadership, as well as client representation, to the Support KC board. She previously served seven years as Vice President of a management firm, leveraging her experience in strategic planning, organizational culture, fraud prevention and financial reporting. Tracy holds a B.S. from Northwest Missouri State University.
